EasyTether and Verizon
First and foremost, Verizon does not block EasyTether. Please do not listen to some ignorant bloggers.
EasyTether still works fine on all Verizon phones because it is a complete tethering re-implementation and it does not depend on any Verizon tethering features.
The only real problem is that EasyTether is now invisible in the Android Market for Verizon phone users.
However, carriers cannot prevent you from using third-party tethering apps because of the latest FCC tether rulings.
If you are an existing EasyTether customer who wants to re-download the application to your Verizon phone, please tell us your order number (see here on how to restore it) or just forward your purchase receipt to us. We'll arrange an alternative download link for you. Our support email is support(at)mobile-stream(dot)com
If you use the Lite version and want to purchase the full app, please go to our EasyTether purchase page.

EasyTether for Android - update 1.1.5 - Bluetooth tethering for tablets
EasyTether has been updated to 1.1.5, the update adds Bluetooth tethering for Android tablets.
EasyTether tablet is available in Google Play Store. EasyTether Tablet 0.9.0 adds experimental Bluetooth support. A known issue: some third-party apps do not recognize Internet connection.
Version 0.9.1 adds USB tethering for tablets.

EasyTether orders from MobiHand (relaunched as Appanite)
We will not support MobiHand orders made after September 20, 2011. We, as developers, did not receive anything from MobiHand for these purchases and MobiHand had deleted developers' accounts without any prior notice three weeks before filing bankruptcy. Most orders were occasionally made via MobiHand system even though we had unpublished EasyTether long before. Since the end of September 2011 we have not mentioned MobiHand as our reseller, both our website and the updated EasyTether Lite have been using direct PayPal or Google Play payments.
It is strange that we, developers, learned about MobiHand filing bankruptcy, from Internet and other sources, and not from MobiHand itself.
Per agreement it was MobiHand responsibility to generate new codes. Out of respect to customers we will generate new codes for all the purchases made before September 20, 2011.
Those who bought EasyTether from MobiHand reseller after September 20, 2011 are encouraged to repurchase the app from our site.

When they needed money, they simply dipped into their bestselling developer's account. When a lawsuit was coming to an end, they filed for bankruptcy to get away with non-payment and subsequent unauthorized selling.
They misappropriated big royalties, Richard Wood claimed that they needed money to finance their projects with Cisco, Lenovo and Foxconn
It is disgusting that in order to finance the so-called innovative development with "Fortune-500 companies" they simply robbed their small developer(s).

Those guys from MobiHand that stole tens of thousands dollars from our EasyTether royalties just launched a new Android-related app portal.
MobiHand scam reincarnated as Appanite Inc
This time they are not in California, but in Delaware
They say
We’ve worked with some of the largest operators and device makers in the world. And we’ve worked with developers ranging from 1-person indies to the largest game developers.
They forget to mention that they have stolen too much money from small 1-person developers.
Dealing with Appanite means that you support stealing from small developers.

EasyTether and MobiHand accounts
We've been receiving many emails from users asking what has happened to their MobiHand accounts and why they cannot generate new codes. We are developers, MobiHand is a reseller, MobiHand has been selling our apps and it is MobiHand who completely deleted users' accounts. Those of you who purchased our apps from MobiHand before September 2011 can email us your new phone's MEID to support(at)mobile-stream(dot)com and get your new codes for free.
Unfortunately, some customers are trying to hit the easiest target and blame us for MobiHand failures. Probably because MobiHand team simply does not respond. That's not good. Again, we are developer, we gave our apps to MobiHand to sell. We have no control over MobiHand website or over users' accounts. By the way, MobiHand purged our developer account as well, without any notice. MobiHand filed for bankruptcy and we, developers, were not even notified by MobiHand team about that. First they did not pay, then they declared bankruptcy purging all the statistics and failing to notify their developers.
